How to make a cosmopolitan: Cosmopolitan recipe

HOW TO MAKE A COSMOPOLITAN:
5 EASY STEPS

The Cosmopolitan, affectionately referred to as a Cosmo, is a sophisticated vodka based cocktail, flavoured with orange, cranberry and lime. Though its origins are disputed, we know that it made its appearance in San Francisco, CA during the late 1980s and reached new levels of popularity when it became the drink of choice by the characters of the TV show "Sex and the City". A Cosmopolitan has a pleasant pinkish hue and is a nice balance between sweet (orange liqueur) and tart (cranberry juice) flavours.

Cosmopolitan Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces (45ml) of vodka
- 1/2 ounce (15 ml) of orange liqueur (Triple sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier)
- 1/2 ounce (15ml) of cranberry juice
- 1/4 ounce limejuice
- sugar

Step 1
Wet the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with cranberry juice and dip it in granulated sugar
Step 2
Put ice in a cocktail shaker and add the vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and orange liqueur (Triple sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier)
Step 3
Shake twice
Step 4
Strain into the cocktail glass
Step 5
Garnish with a lemon twist

Very nice indeed. I do have a slight change to your recipe. Why not try it with some gin. Beefeater currently have a great recipe up on their mixology page:
