How to write a bibliography: Bibliography tips


HOW TO WRITE A BIBLIOGRAPHY: EASY STEPS
Firstly, what is a Bibliography? A Bibliography is a systematic list of books/resources and other works such as journal articles used or referred to by an author (You being the author.). The word Bibliography comes from the Greek word bibliographia, literally meaning book writing.

Many people search “how to write a bibliography” every day. It is quite simple once you understand the format. Follow the STEP by STEP guide below on how to write a bibliography.

Step 1
At the top of your paper write either “Bibliography” or “Works Cited” as your title
Step 2
Alphabetically list by authors last name, all the sources used for writing your paper. This could be an Article, Video, Audio, Interviews, speeches, etc.
Step 3
Always write the Authors surname first, followed by a comma and then their first name followed by a period
Step 4
Then write the name of the source, you can either underline or italic it
Step 5
Now write the name of the city in which the work was published, then follow it with a colon. Eg. :
Step 6
Include the name of the publisher, followed by a comma
Step 7
Finish it with the date of publication of the source you used, followed by a period
Step 8
Finally number your bibliography page when you add page numbers to your paper
