BLACK RUSSIAN COCKTAIL RECIPE
The Black Russian is a simple vodka and coffee liqueur drink (usually two parts vodka to one part coffee liqueur). This popular lowball is known throughout the world and is so popular that it (and the White Russian) should be one of the first that every aspiring bartender should memorize. Experiment beyond the common coffee liqueurs like Kahlua to create different tastes.
Ingredients
- 1 shot (45ml) vodka
- 1/2 shot coffee liqueur (I find that Tia Maria works best)
Step 1
Build the ingredients in an old-fashioned glass filled with ice
Step 2
Stir well
A variation is the Tall Black Russian, prepared in the same manner as a Black Russian, except that it is served in a taller glass and topped up with Cola.
