HOW TO MAKE JELLO SHOTS:
EASY STEPS
Jello shots are made using gelatin, as well as the creator’s favourite liquor, such as vodka, rum, grain alcohol, and tequila instead of the water that the recipe usually calls for. Any flavour of gelatin can be used, as can any combination of flavour and alcohol. By volume, many of the shots contain around 30 percent of alcohol. This means that for each 3 ounce package of gelatin powder that is used, around 19 or 20 oz of alcohol is added.
Jello Shots Ingredients
- 16 ounces (2 cups) of boiling water
- 6 ounces package of gelatin or any type of jello/jelly powder
- 6 ounces cold water, if you didn’t know 6 ounces equals 3/4 cup
- 10 ounces vodka or any alcoholic beverage you enjoy
1 ounce = 30ml
Step 1
Bring water to a boil and then when boiling remove from heat
Step 2
Pour the boiling water into a mixing bowl with the gelatin (Jello Powder)
Step 3
Stir it together until the gelatin is completely dissolved or gone
Step 4
Add a little cold water and the alcoholic beverage and stir
Step 5
Pour mixture into individual shot-size plastic cups or shot glasses
Step 6
Put shots onto a tray and place into the refrigerator until firm (2-4 hours)
Step 7
Keep refrigerated until served
JELLO SHOTS TIP:
However much you are tempted to do so, DO NOT put the jello shots into the freezer as it will ruin them!
