SLOE COMFORTABLE SCREW COCKTAIL RECIPE
Customers love ordering this drink at a bar because of its sexual innuendo. With the Screwdriver as the point of origin, a range of drinks emerged with the ‘screw’ moniker. The Sloe in ‘Sloe Gin’ and the ‘Comfort’ in Southern Comfort also lend their names to this retro cocktail. NB!!! Do not confuse Sloe Gin with ordinary gin. Sloe Gin is a specific type of liqueur that is made from sloe berries and is essential to this recipe.
There are countless recipe variants to this amazing cocktail:
A 'Sloe Fuzzy Comfortable Screw' means less than a shot of Peach Schnapps is added to the original recipe.
A 'Sloe Comfortable Screw, At Sunrise' means a shot of tequila is added to the drink recipe.
A 'Sloe Comfortable Screw, Against The Wall' means Galliano is added after the orange juice is poured. Galliano is an herbal liqueur that has a licorice flavour. Splashing Galliano in to any recipe makes it 'Against The Wall'. Adding Amaretto after the Galliano makes it 'Against The Wall, With A Kiss.' Adding Frangelico and whiskey after the Galliano makes it 'Against The Wall, With Satin Pillows The Hard Way'.
A 'Sloe Comfortable Screw Against A Red Wall' has a shot of RedRum, a brand of fruit flavoured rum, added on top of the Galliano.
The Sloe Comfortable Screw is a fun cocktail to make, but it's also easily ruined with too much alcohol.
