How to make a Tequila Sunrise: cocktail recipe

TEQUILA SUNRISE COCKTAIL RECIPE
Want to feel like you are on holiday off the coast of Mexico - then this is the drink for you.

The Tequila Sunrise is a cocktail made in two different ways, the original ingredients included: tequila, crème de cassis, lime juice and soda water, while the more popular version includes tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup. The Tequila Sunrise cocktail is named for the way it looks after it has been poured into a glass. The denser ingredients (cassis or grenadine) settle at the bottom, creating gradations in colour that resemble a sunrise.

Tequila Sunrise Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 125ml (1/2 cup) gold tequila
- 500ml (2 cups) chilled orange juice
- 1 1/2 tbs grenadine
- cherry
- orange slice

Step 1
Pour tequila in a highball glass with ice and top with orange juice.
Step 2
Stir. Add grenadine by tilting glass and pouring grenadine down side by flipping the bottle vertically very quickly. The grenadine should go straight to the bottom and then rise up slowly through the drink.
Step 3
Garnish with straw, cherry & orange.
